The Treasure Chest

The Idea which Orchestras, smaller Ensembles or Duos are striving for, that variety of musicians form a unity, will remain always as a utopia. Admittedly, Güher and Süher Pekinel share the same destiny. However, as identical twins they present a concept in which audibly close two individuals are merging in one musical unification. The extraordinary and successful Carrier of the Piano-Duo is held in an elaborate CD-and DVD Box with the beautiful title: “Treasures”

Indeed, the Box doesn’t only offer a selected Anthology of Güher and Süher Pekinel’s albums but is also a treasure chest.

The „treasures “beam and shine and enchants the listening explorers who may at the beginning not know where to start with: DVD Number 1 with a Concert recording from 2015, or instead with the third DVD which includes the oldest Live-Recording of the Box from 2001? Or first to start with the CDs? No matter whereby you begin with: Rapidly you will feel tempted to hear and watch the next and then the next CD or DVD (or Blu-Ray Disc).

Güher and Süher Pekinel harmonise like a Clockwork

At the end of the journey you will have experienced two Artists who harmonize like a clockwork. On top of this, the Box offers, a well-balanced and a detailed cross-sectional profile of music literature for duo-piano, that begins with Bach Concertos-of course-Mozart’s Compositions for 2 Pianos, which are mastered with deep knowledge and unique interpretation, and goes all the way to Duo-Piano Adaptations like Ciaccona „In Memoriam Giovanni Paolo II“ from 2005 by Penderecki. In general, adaptations and arrangements of composers form an important part in Oeuvre of Pekinel-Sisters: The Jazz Pianist and Bach devotee Jacques Loussier arranged for in İstanbul born Sisters Bach Concertos and furthermore you can also find the Witold Lutoslawski Adaptation of Paganini Variations with two original different versions in “Treasures” Box.
