Born in 2000, Doğa Altınok was chosen as “Young Musician of the Year” (under 18 years of age) by Andante Magazine in 2012 and in 2013 was accepted as a scholar to the “Young Musicians on World Stages” (YMWS) project initiated and mentored by Güher and Süher Pekinel with financial support of Tüpraş .

Altınok began her violin education at Çukurova State University Conservatory with  Prof. Hakan Çuhadar in 2007 and was accepted to the class of Daniya Kaynova in 2009. In 2014 she was elected to the “Class for Highly Gifted Children’’ at the University of Music and Performing Art in Vienna. Altınok continues her education at the Amadeus Music School and her private studies with Prof. Dora Schwarzberg.

She plays on a violin made by Jean Baptiste Vuillaume in 1845, which was provided by the generosity of the YMSW Project.

At her young age Doğa has already been awarded with several prizes. In 2011 she won the first prize in her own category and with her group for the Chamber Music category at the “Berlin International Sforzando Music Competitions”, at the “Serbian International Internet Competition”, at the “International Argentina ‘Iguazu en Concierto’ Music Festival” and she was also awarded with the 1st prize 2014 in the C category of the ‘’Emuse Online Music Competition’’ in Greece. In her category she won the second prize at the “10th International Independent Music for Individuals” competition in the Ukraine in 2012. In 2015 Altınok received First Prizes at the “11th International Competition – Young Virtuosos” in Sofia, at the “22nd International Competition – Andrea Postacchini” in Fermo-Italy, at the “Semmering International Summer Music Academy Competition for string instruments”, as well as at the “Grand Prize Virtuoso” competition in Vienna-Austria.

Since then, Doğa Altınok has performed with various orchestras, including Izmir, Bursa, Antalya, Presidential and Istanbul State Symphony Orchestras and played at the “Iş Bank Arts’ Rising Stars” concert. In 2013 Altınok was invited to perform at the “Moscow Meets Friends Festival” by Viladimir Spivakov in Moscow, and in January 2014 she played at the Tokyo Saitama Japan Plaza North Concert Hall with the Orchestra. Within the context of ‘’Winners and Masters’’ she performed at the famous Gasteig Concert Hall in Munich, at the “Magna Auditorium Glass Hall” with the Vienna “Musikverein” and performed at the “Amadeus Music School Gala Concert” in the Muth Concert Hall.  Furthermore she played the “Saint-Saens violin concerto” under the baton of conductor Ovidiu Balan, together with the Bacau Philharmonic Orchestra in Milan/Italy.

In 2015 and 2016 she performed as YMWS scholar at the Boğaziçi Albert Long Hall and Notre Dame de Sion Concert Hall and with Scholar Can Çakmur at the “Mozart Haus” in Ankara. In April 2016 Altınok performed as YMWS soloist at the Süreyya Opera and Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall. In the same year she  performed at the Gala Concert of “Ankara Bilkent Violin Days Masterclass“. In April 2016, Doğa Altınok played “Saint Saens Violin Concerto No:3” with the Odessa Philharmonic Orchestra at the Odessa Philharmonic Hall under baton of Maestro Ertuğ Korkmaz.

In July 2016 Altınok gave Recital concerts as solo and duo in Ukraine as well as in France at the “Festival Musique Conques”.

In April 2017 she played Zigeunerweisen by Sarasate with the Presidential Symphony Orchestra in Ankara under the baton of Maestro Orhun Orhon. In May 2017 she shared the first prize with Umut Sağlam at the “National Young Talents” competition in Istanbul. As the prize of this competition she played Mozart Violin Concerto No.4 in D maj. with Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Lukasz Borowicz.

In July 2017 she will participate in the Second Dora Schwarzberg summer Academy in Lviv Ukraine, in August the same year she will participate in ISA ( International Summer Academy ) by MDW Univercity in Semmering Austria. Also in October 2017, she is planning to participate in Lac Leman violin masterclasses at Blonay Switzerland with Prof. Michaela Martin and Prof. Boris Kushnir.

At 25-26-27 April 2018 she will play Othello Fantasie by H.W.Ernst with the Presidential Symphony Orchestra Ankara under the baton of Maestro Tolga Taviş.

After being supported for 4 years inclusively a Jean Baptiste Vuillaume , 1845 violin,since 2017, Doğa is no longer an active member of “Young Musicians on World Stages” though will remain always a part of the project.
